A Celebration of Diversity at Kaye’s School

On 25th May we held the most fantastic day here in school to allow our children to experience a range of different activities and to broaden their understanding of the rich cultural diversity we have in our area.

Children got to choose from seven activities:

Asian Dress and Jewellery

Asian Cooking

French food and language

Sign language

Making Islamic patterns

Making music with an African story as a starting point

Samba drumming

All children got the chance to have a henna tattoo if they wanted one! Children and adults from Boothroyd School in Dewsbury helped us by running workshops and joining in activities with us. There was something for everyone and it was a real pleasure to watch Kaye’s children play together with children from Boothroyd. This was a day to be remembered, and was thoroughly enjoyed by children and staff alike.
